Zomato assault case: Beauty influencer Hitesha Chandranee flees Bengaluru after police complaint and trolls

After facing flak from netizens and a police complaint registered against her for attacking, abusing and falsely accusing Zomato delivery agent of attacking her, UP-based beauty influencer Hitesha Chandranee has fled from Bengaluru. The jurisdictional police have given her time to record her statements failing which they will arrest her.

In a new twist in Zomato delivery agent and Hitesha Chandranee alleged attack and counter-attack case, the beauty influencer has fled the city.

As per reports Chandranee who is originally from Uttar Pradesh is said to have left Bengaluru on March 16 immediately after a police complaint was registered against her by the delivery agent who now has lost his job over her allegation that he punched her.

The Electronic City Police have booked her under Indian Penal Code sections 341(wrongful restraint), 355(Assault or criminal force), 504 (intentional insult), and 506 (criminal intimidation).

As per reports, following trolls and complaints, Hitesha has left the city. "We called Hitesha to appear before the investigating officer for questioning after Kamaraj filed a case of assault against her. But she said she had left the city and is at her aunt’s house in Maharashtra." Electronic City Police was quoted as saying.

The police further added that they have given her time to make her statement once she returns, and the investigation will continue. And in case she fails to appear before the police, they will arrest her.
