Wrestler Sushil Kumar still on the run; Delhi Police deny arrest reports

The Delhi Police on Sunday refuted media reports which claimed that Olympian wrestler Sushil Kumar had been arrested in Jalandhar in connection with the Chhatrasal Stadium murder case. 

Delhi Police officials confirmed that the two-time Olympic medallist was still on the run. 

The Delhi Police has announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh for information on the wrestler's whereabouts. A Rs 50,000 reward has also been announced for the case co-accused, Ajay. A non-bailable arrest warrant is out against the duo. 

Sources said Sushil Kumar's location was last traced to Punjab, following which ten teams have been tasked with nabbing him. 

Delhi Police sources said that Sushil Kumar is using 12 different numbers to dodge the police. 

Sushil Kumar has been on the run ever since it was alleged that he was involved in the murder of wrestler Sagar Rana during a brawl between two groups at the Chhatrasal Stadium on the night of May 4.
