Uttar Pradesh government lifts relaxations in Covid curfew in all 75 districts
The night curfew from 7 pm to 7 am and weekend curfew (for the entire day) will, however, continue in all the districts.
The Uttar Pradesh government on Tuesday announced relaxations in 'corona curfew' in all 75 districts of the state. According to guidelines announced by the state government, districts with less than 600 active cases of the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) can get relaxations.
The night curfew from 7 pm to 7 am and weekend curfew (for the entire day) will, however, continue in all the districts.
"Uttar Pradesh lifts Covid-imposed curfew from all districts. Night curfew (7 pm to 7 am) will continue," said Chief Minister's Office (CMO).
The Covid-19 numbers in all the districts of Uttar Pradesh are now below the threshold. The active caseload in the state stands at 14,000 with less than 600 active cases in each district.

A state government spokesperson said that there will be relaxation in coronavirus curfew in all the districts of the state from Wednesday onwards, from 7am to 7pm, for five days. However, the night curfew - 7pm to 7am and weekend curfew (for the entire day) - will continue.
The decision was taken after a high-level virtual meeting chaired by Adityanath on Tuesday.
The 'corona curfew' was clamped on April 30 after a surge in cases of Covid-19. The state government allowed relaxation from June 1.
Meanwhile, India reported less than one lakh new Covid-19 cases for the first time after 63 days in the last 24 hours, said the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. With 86,498 new cases reported in the last 24 hours, the country had reported 1,00,636 new Covid-19 cases.
The Covid case tally in India has now reached 2,89,96,473. Meanwhile, the active number of Covid cases in the country stands at 13,03,702.
