3 terrorists eliminated in Shopian encounter

Security forces shot down one of the terrorists last night.
One of the two remaining terrorists was a new local recruit. According to Kashmir Inspector General of Police Vijay Kumar, appeals were made to the terrorist to surrender.
The terrorist's parents too appealed to him to surrender, but he did not.
When the encounter resumed this morning, both terrorists were shot dead by security personnel.
Search operations are continuing in the area.
