A day after the drone attacks on the Jammu airforce station, two drones were spotted over Ratnuchak-Kaluchak military camp in Jammu & Kashmir on the midnight of June 27-28, which was engaged by the Indian Army troops with firing.

A Quick Reaction Team was alerted after these drones were seen flying over its area. Upon being spotted, the drones retreated.

"A major threat thwarted by the alertness and proactive approach of troops. The security forces are on high alert and the search operation is in progress," Jammu-based Defence PRO Lt Col Devendra Anand said.

A day ago, the Indian Air Force base in Jammu was attacked using two low-intensity improvised explosive devices dropped from two drones.

This was the first time that drones were used by terrorists to drop bombs in the country,

In the explosions, two IAF men were injured. The aerial distance between Jammu airport and the international border with Pakistan is just 15km.

There was no damage to any equipment, and an investigation is in progress along with civilian agencies.
