PM Modi tells district officials: When your district wins, India wins
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that district officials are field commanders in the war on Coronavirus.
FollowPrime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said aggressive testing, localised containment zones and sharing correct and complete information with people are weapons to defeat the Coronavirus pandemic.
Interacting with state and district officials, Prime Minister Modi said that all officials were field commanders in the war on Coronavirus.
"You understand district-level challenges much better. When your district wins, India wins. When your district beats Corona, the country defeats Coronavirus. Local containment zones, aggressive testing and correct and complete information to the people are the weapons against the virus," he said.
The prime minister advised officials to ensure the ease of living of every citizen of their district. He emphasised that the fight is to save every single life, and the focus should be on rural and inaccessible areas. He requested the officials to make the relief material easily accessible for the rural population.
Emphasising the need to stop the infection and at the same time ensure the unhindered flow of essential supplies, he informed that efforts to rapidly install oxygen plants in hospitals in every district of the country through PM CARES Fund continue.Â
Prime Minister Modi spoke to district officials about the importance of getting vaccinated.
"Vaccination is instrumental in lowering the severity of Coronavirus. Efforts are being made to increase the supply of Coronavirus vaccine on a massive scale. The health ministry is streamlining the system and process of vaccination. Attempts are being made to give a schedule of the next 15 days to the states in advance."
The prime minister emphasised that black marketing should be curbed and strict action should be taken against those who do so.
