New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to President Ram Nath Kovind's son on Friday to enquire about his health.

President Ram Nath Kovind was admitted to the Army (R&R Hospital) on Friday after complaining of discomfort in the chest. His condition is said to be stable.

President Ram Nath Kovind is undergoing a check-up at the Army's Research and Referral hospital here after complaining of chest discomfort, the hospital said.

"President Ram Nath Kovind visited Army Hospital (R&R) following chest discomfort this morning. He is undergoing routine check-up and is under observation. His condition is stable," said the army hospital.

In a tweet, the PMO said, "PM Narendra Modi spoke to Rashtrapati Ji's son. He enquired about the President's health and prayed for his well-being."
