PM Modi impressed with Kiren Rijiju’s dancing skills, calls him ‘decent dancer’
Rijiju, during his visit to the beautiful Kazalang village to monitor the Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Projects danced to a traditional Arunachali song.
Kazalang: Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju’s dancing skills caught the attention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi who lauded and termed him as a decent dancer.
Rijiju, during his visit to the beautiful Kazalang village to monitor the Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Projects danced to a traditional Arunachali song. The video of the traditional event was shared by Rijiju on his Twitter handle.
"During my visit to beautiful Kazalang village to monitor the Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Projects. This is the traditional merrymaking of Sajolang people whenever guests visit their village. The original folk songs and dances are the ESSENCE of every community in Arunachal Pradesh," Rijiju captioned the tweet. The video showed the Union Minister dancing to the tunes of folk music in the village.
Prime Minister Modi in a tweet applauded Union minister Kiren Rijiju for his dancing skills and wrote, ““Our Law Minister Kiren Rijiju is also a decent dancer! Good to see the vibrant and glorious culture of Arunachal Pradesh.”
Dressed in a shirt, trousers and sneakers, the Union Minister could be seen taking part in the merrymaking by shaking a leg with the villagers to the beats of cymbals and drums. Rijiju uploaded his video of dancing during a traditional programme organised by the Sajolang people during his visit to Kazalang village.
Rijiju, who is an MP from the Arunachal West constituency, is quite active on social media and keeps sharing matters of national importance as well as those related to the cultural aspects of the northeast on his Twitter account.
The Union Minister’s dance earned many positive responses from Twitterati. Several of those who commented on the video praised Rijiju for his energy while others were marvelled at the culture and traditions of Arunachal Pradesh.
