PM Modi to meet farmers from 6 states on December 25

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will have a conversation with farmers from six states on December 25 where he will also release the next instalment of financial benefit under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will have a conversation with farmers from six states on December 25 where he will also release the next instalment of financial benefit under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi.

At noon on December 25, the Prime Minister will transfer of more than Rs 18,000 crore to over 9 crore beneficiary farmer families.

During the Prime Minister's interaction with farmers, he is expected to once again reiterate how the new farm reforms will improve their lives in the time to come. 

He is also expected to dispel the misconceptions surrounding the farm laws and seek to reach out to farmers from Punjab who have been protesting on the outskirts of Delhi.

According to the PMO, farmers from six states will share their experiences with PM-KISAN and also on various other initiatives taken by the government for the welfare of farmers. 

Union Agriculture Minister will also be present on the occasion.

Farmers' union chief's letter in blood

Meanwhile, Bharatiya Kisan Union (Lok Shakti) chief Sheoraj Singh has written a letter in blood to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, demanding the repeal of the three new farm laws.

Singh has been camping at the Dalit Prerna Sthal in Noida along with his faction members since December 2.

In his letter, Singh wrote, "Take back the agriculture bill, make law to ensure guarantee on minimum support price (MSP) and form a kisaan aayog (farmers commission)."
