Our MP is missing: Villagers petition before Tahsildar to find Uttara Kannada MP Ananth Kumar Hegde, know why
Accusing former Union Minister and MP Ananth Kumar Hedge of missing from the scene during difficult times due to Covid second wave, villagers in Uttara Kannada District have reportedly petitioned before Tahsildar to help them find the 'missing' MP.
FollowAmidst pandemic and devastation, villagers from Kittur in Uttara Kannada of Karnataka Coastal belt, have reportedly reached out to Tahsildar and asked him the find missing MP Ananth Kumar Hegde.
Apart from giving a missing petition before Tahsildar, the villagers also made and circulated his posters containing his body description which is going viral.
The poster design begins with 'Lok Sabha Member Missing' and followed by his photo and name as deep caption.
The description has his age as 53, his religion as 'Hindu', caste as 'Brahmin', languages known as Kannada, English and Hindi and identification details containing his complexion as fair, curly hair and long nose.
The poster further states that those who find the MP will be rewarded by villagers and Assembly voters.
As per reports, it is said that Kittur villagers have been hit hard by Covid and the MP is missing in every meeting related to Covid.
Enraged by his absence, the villagers may have circulated the posters. Many say that hospitals in the district lack facilities to treat Covid patients.
Uttara Kannada Covid details
The Lok Sabha segment that borders Goa and Belagavi districts, has witnessed 509 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic and at present has 5,954 active Covid cases. And on May 25 alone, 992 new Covid cases and 15 deaths were reported.
