New Delhi: Amid the surge of coronavirus cases in the national capital, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday said that another complete lockdown will not be imposed in Delhi.

Kejriwal also said that the Covid-19 vaccine stock in Delhi will last up to seven to ten days.
At present, the central government has allowed the inoculation to only those people who are above the age of 45.
Furthermore, Kejriwal also raised concerns of vaccine shortage like states such as Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand.
Amid a surge in coronavirus cases, the Delhi government Friday ordered the suspension of physical academic activities and offline examinations for all classes till further orders.
Several states and Union territories including Delhi have announced new restrictions such as night curfews amid a new wave of Covid-19 that has pushed infection numbers to record highs. In order to further curb the spread of the pandemic, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government on April 6 imposed a night curfew in Delhi between 10pm and 5am till April 30.
Meanwhile, Punjab too expressed apprehensions over the shortage of jabs amid an alarming spike in cases.
“Punjab is left with only 5 days of vaccine supply (5.7 lakh Covid-19 vaccine doses) at the current levels of vaccinating 85,000-90,000 persons a day. If the state is able to meet its target of 2 lakh vaccines a day, then its current supplies will last only 3 days,” Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh said.
