The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday night managed to nab two Laskher-e-Taiba terrorists hiding in Hyderabad's Nampally area.

The accused are Imran Malik alias Imran Khan and Mohd Nasir Khan alias Nasir Malik who are brothers and hail from Shamli in Uttar Pradesh.

AS per reports, the accused brothers after reported instructions from Pakistan-based LeT, fabricated an incendiary IED and packed it in a parcel and placed it in a long-distance train from Secunderabad to Darbhanga. On June 17, a blast triggered on the running train at Platform 1, claimed many lives and properties were damaged.

During the course of investigation, the agency found that the explosive containing parcel was booked at Secunderabad and consignment had arrived on Train No. 07007 Secunderabad- Darbhanga Express.

"The accused have revealed a transnational conspiracy hatched by top operatives of proscribed terrorist organisation Lashkar-e-Taiba  (LeT) to execute terror acts across India and cause large-scale damage to life and property,"  NIA wrote on its handle.

Accused visited Pakistan in the past, got trained

As per reports, accused Mohd Nasir Khan had visited Pakistan nine years ago in 2012 and reportedly had received training from LeT to make an IED from locally available chemicals to carry out devastation. He along with his brother Imran was in touch with the LeT over encrypted communication platforms, say NIA officials.

As soon as the arrest formalities were completed, the accused persons were produced before the court which remanded them to judicial custody till July 14.

The NIA is carrying out further investigation in this connection to know their network.
