Maharashtra has introduced new measures as part of the unlocking process in the state.

In a series of tweets on Monday morning, the Mumbai Police shared the new 'Break The Chain' guidelines issued by the Maharashtra government. These include:

1) Restrictions in the state will continue to be in force from 7 am on June 1 till 7 am on June 15.

2) All essential shops currently allowed to operate can remain open from 7 am to 2 pm.

3) Delivery of essentials and non-essentials through E-commerce is permitted.

4) Only essentials movement, medical and other emergencies, and food delivery will be permitted after 3 pm.

5) All government offices to function at 25% capacity (except those directly involved in works related to the pandemic)

6) Agriculture-related shops can remain open till 2 pm on weekdays.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had on Sunday announced the extension of lockdown-like curbs in the state by 15 days

Uddhav said that the lockdown was being extended unwillingly and that the unlocking will be done in a graded manner.

He also said that the drop in Covid-19 cases is still not as expected.
