The alleged sex CD involving former Karnataka Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi which cost him his ministerial post has taken a new twist as the Minister reportedly accepted that it was him in the video.

As per reports, the former Minister who appeared in front of the investigation officers has claimed that he knew the woman as she approached him for a college project work and the meeting resulted in 'closeness'.

However, the former Minister before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) has reportedly claimed that he was unaware that a video of his act with the woman was being recorded.

Earlier in March, a video was circulated in the media and Ramesh Jarkiholi who was in Mysuru Chamundi Hills for temple darshan, left the rituals midway and was in undisclosed location in Bengaluru outskirts.

By then, the video had gone viral and had put the BJP government in a tight spot. The BJP leader from Belagavi and his MLA brother Balachandra Jarkiholi claimed the video as fake and said this is being done to malign them.

Karnataka CM then asked Balachandra Jarkiholi to tell Ramesh to send resignation and also assured a probe as the Jarkiholi brother's were claiming it as conspiracy.

The leaders specially who defected to BJP from Congress along with Ramesh Jarkiholi in 2019 also defended and blamed Congress hand in the CD.

The woman meanwhile, released another video claiming that the alleged sex CD was not fake and expressed her shock. She later claimed that she was the victim of 'job for sex' scam. Her parents were also questioned by the police.

The sex CD case resulted in blame game between Congress and BJP.

Meanwhile, the SIT intensified their search to nab two, Naresh Gowda and Shravan as they are suspected in alleged CD scam and of extortion.
