Karnataka night curfew: List of guidelines for next 10 days

Based on the technical expert committee report, the Karnataka government has issued guidelines following a spike of new Covid-19 strain and number of Indian's returning from the United Kingdom. Here is the list of guidelines.

With Bengaluru residents testing positive for Covid-19 after their return from Britain, which is hit by new Covid-19 strain, the Karnataka government has placed prohibitory orders for the next 10 days. 

1 No movement beyond 11 pm till 5 am from today. Only emergency and essential activities will be allowed. 

2 There shall be no restriction in movement of all types of goods through trucks, goods vehicles or any goods carriers, including empty vehicles.

3 All industries/companies/organizations which require operations at night shall be permitted to operate. However, only 50 per cent staff shall be allowed. Employees of such organization must provide a valid ID card issued by their respective Organisation/Institution.

4 Industries/factories which require 24x7 operations will be allowed to operate without any restrictions.

5 Movement of the long-distance night bus, train services and air services are permitted.

6 To and fro movement of taxis and autos are permitted for dropping/picking of people to and from bus stops/railway stations/airports. The movement will be allowed on displaying valid tickets.

7 Midnight Christmas Mass on December 24 shall be permitted. 

8 The restriction on movement will be applicable on December 31 as well.
