The Indian Navy has announced that all 274 crew onboard two vessels, which had sunk after being slammed by cyclone Tauktae, have been accounted for.

While the wreckage of barge P305 was located on the seabed on Sunday, the Indian Navy spotted tug Varaprada on Monday.

INS Makar located the wreck of the tug Varaprada. "Diving is in progress to locate trapped Brave Nature's Victim (BNV) if any," the Navy said in a statement.

In a joint operation conducted over the last seven days, the Indian Navy and the Coast Guard rescued 188 crew members and recovered the bodies of 70 crew members in the Arabian Sea.

"08 Brave Nature Victims (dead) have reportedly been recovered along the coast at Raigarh district in Maharashtra and 08 BNVs along Gujarat coast near Valsad," the Indian Navy said in a statement.

"Thus, all 274 crew reported missing have been accounted for. Final confirmation will, however, be pending till the identification of all BNVs recovered is completed," the Navy said.
