Imported Sputnik V vaccine shot to cost Rs 995.40; first dose administered
Doses of Sputnik V which will be made in India by Dr Reddy's Laboratories are likely to be cheaper.
FollowDr Reddy's Laboratories on Friday announced that the imported doses of Sputnik V vaccine will cost Rs 995.40 per dose.Â
The first consignment of imported doses has received regulatory clearance from the Central Drugs Laboratory.
The price of the imported doses includes a five per cent GST per dose.Â
A statement from Dr Reddy's said that the first dose of the Sputnik V vaccine had been administered in Hyderabad. Deepak Sapra, Global Head of Custom Pharma Services at Dr Reddy's, received the first jab of the vaccine.

At 91.6 per cent, Sputnik V has higher efficacy than Serum Institute of India's Covishield and Bharat Biotech's Covaxin.
Sputnik V has already been administered to more than 20 lakh people worldwide.
