The police told the court that the activist allegedly edited the toolkit on February 3 and many other people were involved in the matter.
A Delhi court on Sunday sent 21-year-old "climate activist" Disha Ravi to five-day police custody following her arrest in connection with the alleged spreading of a "toolkit" related to the farmers’ protest.
The 21-year-old climate activist from Bengaluru was arrested by the Delhi Police in connection to the "toolkit" shared by teen climate activist Greta Thunberg and others on Twitter to show support for the farmers' protest.
The Delhi Police earlier said the creator of the "toolkit", an organization calling itself the Poetic Justice Foundation, is a pro-Khalistani group. “The ‘toolkit’ exposes the conspiracy by an organised overseas network to instigate the farmer protests,” they had added.
According to a report on Times of India, in its remand application, the police said that seven-day custody of Ravi is required since it wanted to probe a larger conspiracy against the government of India and to ascertain the alleged role of Khalistani elements.
The police told the court that the activist allegedly edited the toolkit on February 3 and many other people were involved in the matter.
Ravi broke down inside the courtroom and told the judge that she edited only two lines and wanted to support the farmers' agitation, according to an ANI report.
Duty Metropolitan Magistrate Dev Saroha of Patiala House Court Complex has allowed the police to question Disha Ravi for five days.
