Bengaluru: A 21-year-old climate activist from Bengaluru has been arrested by the Delhi Police in connection to the "toolkit" shared by teen climate activist Greta Thunberg and others on Twitter to show support for the farmers' protest.

Disha Ravi, one of the founders of 'Fridays for Future' (FFF), has been accused of “sharing” and "spreading" the ‘toolkit’ related to the farmer protests in Delhi. She was reportedly ‘picked up’ from her house located within Soladevanahalli police station limits in Bengaluru on Saturday.

FFF – a global climate strike movement started in August 2018, when internationally-known teenaged Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg began a school strike for climate – in Bengaluru.

The Delhi Police earlier said the creator of the "toolkit", an organization calling itself the Poetic Justice Foundation, is a pro-Khalistani group. “The ‘toolkit’ exposes the conspiracy by an organised overseas network to instigate the farmer protests,” they had added.

Disha Ravi, who graduated from Mount Carmel college in Bengaluru, is currently working as a culinary experience manager with a company that produces plant-based food.

The cyber-crime cell of the Delhi Police registered an FIR on charges of "sedition", "criminal conspiracy" and "promoting hatred" against the creators of the 'toolkit'. The 18-year-old had deleted the original tweet but had subsequently tweeted another toolkit.

The FIR included sections 124A (sedition), 153A (promoting hatred amongst various communities on social/cultural/religious grounds) and 120B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code.

The “toolkit” tweeted by Thunberg, explained that it was “meant to enable anyone unfamiliar with the ongoing farmers protests in India to better understand the situation and make decisions on how to support the farmers based on their own analysis”.
