FollowUttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday 'Jal Abhishek' with Kabul river water sent by a girl from Afghanistan to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, to be offered at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi site in Ayodhya.
The Chief Minister said that a mixture of Gangajal and the Kabul river water was poured at the Ram temple construction site as per the PM's instruction. "…we are very grateful that a Hindu girl from violence torn Afghanistan has such belief in Lord Ram. We wish that peace returns in Afghanistan and the family of the girl are safe there," Yogi Adityanath said.

In a video shared by news agency ANI, the UP CM, while addressing the gathering, showed a small bottle and said, “This is the water from a river in Kabul that was sent to PM Modi by a girl from Afghanistan to be offered at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya. Today I am taking the initiative of going and offering this water along with the emotions of the girl, her family and all women over there, to Lord Ram”.
The Kabul water was sent in a small plastic container which was mixed with Gangajal and then poured at the Ram temple construction site. Earlier today, the UP CM told a media briefing at his official Lucknow residence that he will be visiting Ayodhya to review the preparation for the grand Deepotsav 2021 celebrations. He said that the primary goal of his Ayodhya visit, however, is to offer Shree Ram Janmabhoomi the water from the Kabul river sent by a girl in Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has wished the people of the state on the occasion of Deepavali.
