Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday interacted with all Tokyo-bound athletes and said he is looking forward to their competition and efforts for the upcoming Games. He also wished the contingent to give their 100% best.

PM Modi is currently interacting and inspiring the young contingent ahead of their departure for Tokyo Olympics.

The event is being attended by Anurag Thakur, Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports; Nisith Pramanik, MoS Youth Affairs, and Sports and Kiren Rijiju, Law Minister and former Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports.

A total of 126 athletes across 18 sports disciplines from India will be heading to Tokyo. This is the biggest-ever contingent India is sending to any Olympics. The 69 cumulative events across the 18 sport disciplines that India will participate in are also the highest ever for the country.
