The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the class 12 result today at 2 pm. However, the official website is down due to heavy online traffic and there will be no merit list this year.

The result is available at official website – cbse.gov.in, cbseresults.nic.in. The result will also be available via SMS, UMANG app and Digilocker. A record high pass percentage has been achieved as almost all students have cleared class 12 results. Out of the 13,04,561 candidates who registered for the exam, as many as 12,96,318 have cleared the exam.

This year, 99.37% students have passed the CBSE class 12, the result of which has been prepared following an alternative assessment policy. The boys pass percentage has been recorded at 99.13% while girls percentage stood at 99.67%. The Delhi region has recorded its best ever performace.

Students would need their roll number to check their result. CBSE pass certificates, mark sheets, and migration certificates will be available on the DigiLocker platform.

Meanwhile, class 12 results for over 65,000 students could not declared today.

Result of over 65,184 students is still being prepared; will be declared by August 5, informed CBSE.This happened as many schools either gave wrong data or could not submit data on time.

As per the board's 40:30:30 formula for evaluation of marks of class 12 students, students will be assessed based on their class 12, class 11 and class 10 marks. According to the formula, the theory marks of each subject will be computed using 40% from the marks they got in the subject pre-boards or mid-term exams held by their schools earlier this year, 30% from their Class 11 final exam marks, and 30% from their Class 10 board exam results. This will be added to the actual marks that they got in their Class 12 internal assessments and practicals for that subject.

Students who are not satisfied with the manner of assessment or the marks they will get will be allowed to sit for written examinations conducted by the board “when conditions are conducive for holding the examinations”.

This year around 15 lakh students have registered themselves for Class 12 exams across the country.

The examination for Class 12 was cancelled by the central government due to the rise in Covid-19 cases across the country. The Board had later formed a 13-member committee to prepare the Class 12 evaluation criteria on the basis of which the result was prepared.

After CBSE Class 12 results, universities will start the undergraduate admission process. The University Grants Commission in its 2021-22 guidelines said the universities will start UG admissions once Class 12 results are out, and complete the process by September-end. Classes for fresh batches will begin in October.
