Case filed against VK Sasikala to prevent her from hoisting flag at former CM MGR's residence

In a setback to expelled AIADMK leader VK Sasikala who was released a few days ago from jail, a case against her has been filed in the Madras High Court seeking to prevent her from hoisting party flag at CM MG Ramachandran's residence.

Huge embarrassment for expelled AIADMK leader VK Sasikala after relatives of late Tamil Nadu CM MR Ramachandran (MGR) filed a case against her in the Madras High Court seeking to prevent her from entering and hoisting party flag at late CM MG Ramachandran's residence.

The case was filed by MGR's relatives Geetha and Radha and the case is yet to come for hearing.

Earlier, when Sasikala was discharged from hospital and taken in a car with AIADMK flag on the bonnett, a complaint was filed.  

Host of AIADMK leaders including party chairman E Madhusudhanan, Law Minister CV Shanmugam, Minister P Thangamani, Fisheries Minister D Jayakumar, senior leaders Natham R Viswanathan and KP Munusamy approached TN DGP and filed a complaint against Sasikala seeking to stop her from using party flag in the near future.

Sasikala was released on January 27 after she served four years jail term in an illegal assets case.

However, before her release, she was diagnosed with Covid and treated accordingly.

Upon her release from jail and discharge from hospital, the leader is in undisclosed location in the City outskirts.
