After stepping down as Chief Minister on Saturday, Amarinder Singh went on a nostalgic weekend when he was seen singing old Hindi songs with his army batchmates. Singh had invited his 47 NDA course classmates to supper at his home in Mohali. Amarinder Singh was observed singing Lata Mangeshkar's "Gore Gore O Banke Chhore" in a video shared on Twitter. In another video, Punjab CM and his batchmates sang Asa Singh Mastana's renowned Punjabi folk song "Idhar Kan kan Udhar Kankar."

"After a week of busy politics, Captain Amarinder Singh embarks on a nostalgic weekend with 47 NDA course batchmates and their spouses, whom he will welcome in Chandigarh from September 24 to 27. In October 2017, the fauji at heart organised a similar event," Thukral stated this in a tweet.

Amarinder Singh, who resigned down as Punjab Chief Minister, lashed out at the Congress party. He had previously referred to Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra as "inexperienced," and he had vowed to run a strong candidate against state party president Navjot Singh Sidhu in the next assembly elections.

It's not the first time Amarinder Singh has been showing his passion for singing. In March of this year, the former Punjab Chief Minister was seen singing 'Suhag' at his Siswan farmhouse on his granddaughter Seherinder Kaur's wedding. Amarinder is a well-known military historian, and his close friends attest to his culinary abilities. His video of him singing at his granddaughter's wedding quickly went viral.
