An Assam Police team pasted a notice outside the residence of Mizoram Rajya Sabha MP K Vanlavena for making threatening statements targeting civil and police officials.

The Assam Police believes there are reasonable grounds to question the MP on the border clash, and the notice directs the latter to appear at the Dholai police station at 11 am on August 1 without fail.

Both sides have been accusing each other of triggering the violence at the border.

Assam Police has also served notices to Mizoram police officials, including the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Superintendent of Police, Deputy Superintendent of Police and Additional Superintendent of Police of Kolasib.
