Mob of 50 people targets NCB officials in Mumbai's Goregaon
NCB sources said they were laying a trap to nab some drug peddlers when a mob of some 40-50 people converged there and attacked them. Some NCB officials sustained injuries in the attack.
Narcotics Control Bureau Mumbai Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede and his team were attacked by a mob in Mumbai late on Sunday during an operation.Â
The incident occurred during when a six-member team of the NCB was conducting a search operation in Goregaon suburb of Mumbai following a tip-off.

Three suspects have been arrested by the Mumbai Police based on the First Information Report registered under Section 353 of Indian Penal Code at the Goregaon police station.
The NCB has been imvestigating the Bollywood-related drugs case, which has led to the questioning of numerous stars, some of them having been arrested and houses of many being raided. The latest had been the arrest of comedian Bharti Singh and her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa.Â
