As weekend curfew resumes in Karnataka, know what is allowed and what is not

Karnataka will be witnessing its second 'weekend curfew' following the unlocking of lockdown last week. As per the relaxation, this time, limited buses will ply. Here is the list of services that can be availed during the curfew.

As Karnataka enters its second 'weekend curfew' following its unlocking of lockdown policy from June 15. The state that pressed the weekend curfew from Friday 7 pm will only lift at 5 am on Monday.

The Karnataka government that had put a hold on bus services in the last weekend curfew, has pressed BMTC and KSRTC bus services with limited numbers. In Bengaluru city, BMTC will operate only 1,200 buses (30%).
Unnecessary vehicle movement will result in police seizing vehicles and imposing penalties and also booking of cases.

Apart from bus services, there is no relaxation of public movement.  

As per the weekend curfew, all essentials are allowed to open between 6 am to 2 pm.

The vegetable shops, meat shops, groceries, government ration shops, milk booths are allowed to open till 2 pm. The only parcel of liquor is allowed. Saloons and beauty parlors should remain closed.

What is allowed:
All construction activity and industries.
Bank, Insurance and Media
IT firms should allow only a few staff in the office and follow 'work from home' for remaining staff.
Only 50% of staff in all government offices.
