Few days after suspension of war room health workers in BBMP, orders were passed to reinstate 16 suspended workers.

Out of 16, 11 rejoined and said they will work and also cooperate with the probing agency, while remaining five do not wish to come back fearing harassment and traumatizing experience.

Few days back Bengaluru South MP Tejasvi Surya barged into South Zone war room along with three BJP MLAs alleging scam in bed allotment and read out names from a list claiming it was given by an 'official'.

However, all the names he mentioned belonged to particular community and later social media and some mainstream media also reported the entire episode as nothing but a communal twist to divert from issues of deaths due to lack of oxygen.

As per sources, a probing officer has allegedly claimed that, so far they have not found any evidence against these suspended officials from war room and out of 16 only one was working in bed allotment section and police have found no evidence even against that person.

Surya who held another press conference to announce new Covid care care center ducked the question to comment on the recent development in alleged bed scam as all those who named are reinstated back.

He just asked said "Next question".

Case in a nut shell

On May 4, Tejasvi Surya along with BJP MLA Satish Reddy, Ravi Subramanya and Uday  Garudachar barged inside the war room almost heckled the Nodal Officer Tulasi Maddineni seeking explanation of who hired these people (16 members from a particular community).

Immediately after Surya read out names, his uncle and Basavangudi MLA Ravi Subramanya can be heard telling, "Are you hiring for Madarasa or Corporation." Satish Reddy then says "it is Hajj Bhavan." Within hours, 16 workers in their early 20's were suspended.

On the same day two Bommanahalli war room in charge Sridhar and South Zone Dr Rehan were arrested and the case was transfered to CCB.

The CCB police next day raided the war room and later arrested social worker Nethravathy and Nephew Rohit Kumar as main culprit.

Soon opposition termed the entire exercise as 'communal' and attempt to hide from oxygen crises that lead to mass deaths at Chamarajnagar.

The next day, a regional paper reported that BJP MLA Satish Reddy who was part of alleged bed blocking scam of doing the same at Bommanahalli Zone.

Two days later, High Court Advocate S Balan filed a petition before District Majestrate alleging BJP leaders including Tejasvi Surya, Minister KS Eshwarappa and three MLAs of targeting a particular community.

The advocate also contended that after the alleged scam, the police have so far arrested over five people and all those who the MP named are no way connected.
