Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami has announced that around 10 lakh cases will be withdrawn as per law
In an indication that the election season has well and truly arrived in Tamil Nadu, Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami has announced that around ten lakh cases filed against those who participated in the anti-Citizenship Amendment Act protests and flouted Covid-19 lockdown rules will be withdrawn.
Addressing a gathering at Kadiyanallur in Thenkasi district, the chief minister said that the state government could also close cases filed against Kudankulam nuclear power plant protesters.
The withdrawal of the cases will be done as per law, he added.
