WhatsApp will let you unsend messages soon

WhatsApp is testing a number of features, and among them is reportedly the ability to 'Unsend', as per these tweets from WABetaInfo. Unsend looks like the official name for the revoke or message edit/delete feature we've been hearing about.

Going by the tweet, it could be making its way onto iOS devices soon. The upcoming WhatsApp update for iOS is likely to add the new feature. Previously, we'd heard about WhatsApp's plans to implement the feature with the ability to unsend within five minutes. This means, users may get five minutes to unsend a message.

WABetaInfo had revealed that WhatsApp for Android version 2.17.147 that is in beta will be adding new features including the ability to revoke and share live location. Some other features it plans to add are the rotate option, allowing rotating any image. So, users can easily rotate and crop an image. This report said that while no fixed time period for revoking messages was fixed, users testing the feature asked for a longer duration that would let them recall a message anytime.

The features being tested in the beta mode are even scrapped, and only a few may see the day of light. Among the ones revealed in the report, we wonder how many would make it to your devices.
