Reliance Jio could launch a laptop that supports Jio SIM

A laptop with a SIM slot would mean users don't have to use a dongle and can access Internet on laptop via a SIM. Foxconn will be building a laptop with SIM slot for Reliance Jio and the slot will be integrated on the left edge, according to PhoneRadar

There is no word on the OS, but reports claim it could be either Windows or Chrome OS. However, Chrome OS is more likely, considering it can handle Android-based Jio apps. The display size will be 13.3-inches with Full HD resolution. It will be powered by an Intel Pentium processor and come fitted with a HD camera.

Some other rumoured specs include 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD, and the laptop will weigh 1.2kgs. However, for now, it is best to take this piece of news with a pinch of salt, until official announcements are made.

Meanwhile, the Jio Prime offer that was ending on 31 March has been extended until 15 April. Users have roughly 10 more days to become a Jio Prime member. The further extension until 15 April will bring added goodies. Jio members who recharge ₹303 or more will get the benefits for free for the first three months ending July. Yes, no tariff rates will be applicable for the first three months. Prime users will be able to enjoy 1GB of high speed data per day, along with unlimited voice calls and SMS.
