Google and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) have announced the creation of Appscale Academy, a new initiative targeted at ensuring companies' "next stage of growth." The program's goal is to assist early to mid-stage entrepreneurs in India in developing high-quality apps for the global market.  According to Google, 100 entrepreneurs would be taught using a "tailored curriculum." This includes virtual instructor-led webinars, self-learning materials, and mentoring meetings with top local and worldwide industry leaders.

App Quality, Go Global, Growth (user acquisition and monetisation), App Design, Google Play Policy, and Data Safety Best Practices will be the emphasis of the Appscale Academy. Interested entrepreneurs may apply for the Appscale Academy today, October 27, through the Events with Google website. The application deadline is December 15, and the class announcement will take place in January 2022.

According to Google's dedicated website, any Indian app developers working in gaming, finance, business, and other areas are welcome to submit. However, the startup's core staff must "commit to a six-month training, coaching, and mentorship programme." Google also touts the advantages of the Appscale Academy programme, which includes individualised mentorship from industry luminaries as well as access to Google and MeitY's invite-only seminars. Developers will also get the option for one-on-one mentoring from Google and industry professionals. The training will most critically equip developers to propose their concepts to investors.

Alok Kejriwal, CEO and Co-Founder of Games2Win; Aprameya Radhakrishna, co-founder and CEO of Koo; Megha Agarwal, Vice President and GM of Growth at Meesho; and Sairee Chahal, Founder & CEO of SHEROES are among the industry professionals featured in the event. At the time of submission, participants must be at least 18 years old. Furthermore, after an application has been filed, no changes may be made to it.
