Instagram DMs and Facebook Messenger get new features. Here's what you should know about it.
Facebook has rolled out a new set of features for its Messenger and Instagram DMs. It issued a statement that reads, "Help you better express yourself, find what you need and stay connected."
For Messenger, you can now swipe to archive along with an Archived Chats folder. Users can tap on a profile picture and archive chats from the thread.
It has also launched two chat themes on Instagram and Messenger, 'Star Wars' and 'Selena: The Series'.
You can now use camera stickers on Messenger that supports Asian-Pacific Islanders. Messenger users can use the tap-to-record button to go hands-free while recording a video.
On Instagram, they have rolled out a new seen status feature by which one can see that the person has seen their message or not. They are also planning to add visual replies on Instagram DMs on iOS; it will come on Android soon too.
