BSNL offers up to 300GB data, free calls at ₹249

BSNL to offer 10GB data per day at Rs 249

BSNL had announced the ₹249 plan for broadband users dubbed 'BB Unlimited 249' that will offer users up to 300GB data per month. In addition, users can also avail of fre calls during night. 

 

The plan is listed here and says that it is valid only for new customers and before 31 March, 2017. However, a Gadgets360 report, citing BSNl officials, claims that it is available even post the deadline. However, there is no word on the period of time the plan will be available. Those already using BSNl broadband will require to take new connection to get the benefits of the offer. 


Under the ₹249 plan, users will get up to 10GB/day. The report further adds that it will offer sppeds up to 2Mbps, and post the per day usage, the speed will be reduced to 1Mbps. On the other hand, if you do not utilise the 10GB data, it will be carried forward to the next day. In addition, the offer introduces unlimited free calls between 9pm to 7am everyday and all Sundays. 

 

Recently, the telco announced to offer 1GB of free data to all smartphone users who have a BSNL connection but are not using the company’s data services. BSNL had “decided to give a special free offer for smartphone users to promote Digital India drive and to increase internet users in prepaid mobile services”.

 

Some other plans include unlimited local and STD calls at ₹144, 2GB data per day with unlimited calling at ₹339, among others. Meanwhile, Airtel's ₹345 plan brings 1GB of 4G data to users per day, with 500MB available to use during day time and 500MB during night. It also offers free local and STD voice calls. Vodafone had offered a similar plan crafted at ₹346, users were offered 1GB of data daily.
