Filmmaker Santhosh Sivan collaborates with Mani Ratnam for his next release

FollowThe renowned cinematographer- filmmaker Santhosh Sivan is reuniting with the veteran director Mani Ratnam for the sixth time in the Tamil project that is yet to be titled. After Kaatru Veliyidai that featured Karthi and Aditi Rao in the lead roles, Mani Ratnam is reported to be directing a new movie that is bankrolled by his Madras Talkies.
Santhosh Sivan and Mani Ratnam had earlier worked together in Thalapathy, Roja, Iruvar, Uyire, and Raavanan.
Santhosh Sivan is currently working for A R Murugadoss’s Spyder. A source close to Mani Ratnam said, "Yes, Santhosh Sivan is on board Mani Ratnam sir’s next film. It’s going to be a bilingual but he is yet to finalise his lead actors. The project will roll from September." However, against popular speculations, actor Ram Charan Tej is not part of the project. The source said, "Although Ram Charan and Ratnam had met and discussed the idea of collaborating, the plan didn’t materialise. He is not part of this project."
