Tamil Nadu government has recently announced that the syllabus from class 1 to class 12 would be changed.

With regards to this,a group of 10 people has been set up to reform syllabus in Tamil Nadu.

The team would be led by Munirathna Anandakrishnan, the former Vice-Chancellor of Anna University. Writer Theodore Baskaran is one among the them. 

The new syllabus for the classes 1,6,9,11 will be introduced during the academic year 2018-19.

The syllabus for the classes 2,7,10,12 will be changed on 2019.

The syllabus for the classes 3,4,5,8 will be changed on 2020

This was recently announced by the Education Minister. He also said that the syllabus would be equal to the standard of CBSE.
