A proceeding was held in the Economic Offences Court in Egmore, following a petition that has been filed against Sasikala for the infringements in a foreign exchange transaction.
This petition was filed by the Enforcement Department.
It was alleged that some payments were illegally transacted.
Following this, Sasikala appeared before the Magistrate through a video-conferencing from the Parappana Agrahara jail in Bangalore. Prosecution was launched against Sasikala and Bhaskaran.
Later the hearing was postponed.
