Tamil Nadu theatre owners are on an indefinite strike, demanding that the 30 percent entertainment tax should be cancelled. Lakhs of cinema workers have been severely affected in both direct and indirect ways due to this. This morning, Rajinikanth has tweeted, “Keeping in mind the livelihood of lakhs of people in the Tamil film industry, I sincerely request the TN govt to seriously consider our plea”.

Earlier many celebrities have been requesting Rajinikanth to speak up against this.

Simbu’s father TR has also demanded that Rajinikanth should speak about the impact of GST on Tamil films.
