Kollywood: Shruti Haasan to do more challenging roles in future

FollowActress Shruti Haasan might finally break type and start doing more challenging roles in the future, on the lines of her father, Kamal Haasan.
In an interview, Shruthi Haasan said, “It has been nine years since I started my acting career. Now, I am not much interested in being the heroine who dances in Switzerland. It does not mean that I am bored of it, but I am no longer interested in doing such usual roles. Now, I have made a decision that I would not agree to do a role that would not satisfy the artist in me.”
She further added, “So far, I have always been perfect in my work, and I believe that my acting did not draw any negative criticisms. In India, we get to play only the stereotyped characters, whereas in other countries the heroines have a variety of roles to play."
"In foreign films, the actors always prefer to stand out in the crowd. Such actors convince the directors to give the approval to carry out a new style of acting by telling them that it would benefit the film. Such healthy rapport should prevail among the actors and directors here.”
