FollowThe Congress party has called for a shutdown protest against the Puducherry state Lt.Governor Kiran Bedi. Due to this, a heavy police protection has been issued across the state.
Public transport was greatly affected as buses, operating between Puducherry  and Chennai or Cuddalore were pelted with stones.Â

They have been shouting slogans against the decision of nominating three MLAs from the BJP. They were also chanting slogans that Kiran Bedi should be sent out of Puducherry.Â
