The DMK MLAs have requested the speaker to give them some time to respond to the accusation. The MLAs stood up and shouted slogans as they were denied permission. The speaker said that he would not allow discussion on a statement that was said outside the Assembly.

Earlier, in a meeting in Ramanathapuram, the former chief minister O Panneerselvam had accused that both DMK and E.Palaniswami are having a secret alliance.

After the question hour in the Assembly, DMK MLA Sakkarapani requested the Speaker to bring up this issue for debate. When the speaker refused to grant permission, they stood up and shouted slogans.

In response to that, the speaker said, “I can give time to respond only when the accusation is made inside the Assembly. I cannot let you discuss a statement that is said outside. You can respond to it outside the Assembly. This is my final say. You can demand in whatever way you want, but I will not allow this discussion”.

The MLAs did not insist any further.
