After the demise of former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, various political twists have taken place in Tamil Nadu politics.

Similar situation had prevailed in the party after the demise of MGR.

The team ‘AIADMK Puratchi Thalaivi Amma’ is led by the former chief minister O Panneerselvam.

The team ‘AIADMK Amma’ is led by E Palaniswami.

It was under the leadership of Jayalalithaa, the party was reunited in those days. In the similar way steps are being taken to fix the party together. So far many secret meetings have been held between the two teams.

It was said that the Panneerselvam team has demanded that Sasikala and her family should be sent out of the party.

It was told by the Palaniswami’s team that TTV Dinakaran has been purposely avoided in the discussions.
Even Dinakaran made a declaration that he would leave the party.

These signs have showed the possibilities of the re-union.

It was told that a group of people were given the responsibility to talk on behalf of the two teams. Vaithilingam MP of EPS team and KP Munusamy of OPS team were given the lead position to negotiate.

It was also said that, just when the ‘appointed’ group planned to hold a meeting in Thiruvottiyur, OPS disbanded the team. Hence it was said that the two teams would not join hands together.

It was also speculated that some of Panneerselvam’s team members have met EPS and talked about the reunion but it was denied by the OPS team.

Meanwhile, Minister Jayakumar has told reporters that they are on the process of uniting the AIADMK teams together. This statement was also immediately denied by the team. It was said that Jayakumar has been giving such interviews with hidden intention.

OPS team members have also condemned Jayakumar saying that he is confusing the people with such statements when there is no meeting held on the discussion of reunion.

Natham Viswanathan said, “Finance Minister has been sharing false information from the very beginning. No such team was ever formed. No meeting was held to discuss about the possibilities to unite.”
