GST: While Tamil Nadu theaters stop screening films from Monday, Rajinikanth still silent over the issue

During the Jallikattu issue, actor Kamal Hassan shared his opinions very frequently. Even on the GST implementation he has been registering his comments every now and then. On the contrary, Rajinikanth did not comment on either of the controversies.
His silence on general issues was accepted to some extent but not on GST.  The film industry, to which he belongs, has been severely affected by this rollout. Being one among the highly paid actors in the industry, he refuses to voice his support to the film fraternity. It has angered many people in the industry.Â
Some speculate that Rajini has run away to America just in order to avoid facing these issues.
They charge him saying that if Rajini had commented on the implementation of GST, it would have caught everyone’s attention throughout India.Â
His silence on this issue has created a doubt over his political ambitions since he is not even talking about the film industry.Â
