Do you have the guts to enter politics?: Ministers challenge Kamal Haasan

Recently, in a press meet, actor Kamal Haasan has stated that there is corruption everywhere in Tamil Nadu. He was both appreciated and criticised for making that comment. Now, the AIADMK members have launched a verbal attack on him for criticizing the government’s functioning. 

Comments of the ministers: 

Minister Jayakumar: It is funny to see how Kamal is speaking up now. It is ironic as he kept mum when Jayalalithaa was alive. He is slinging mud at the government. He doesn’t have the courage to enter into politics. DMK is in a critical stage as they are in need of Kamal's support.

Minister C V Shanmugam: He spoke about Democracy. In a Democracy, one also has the right to respond to a criticism. Actor Ajith had once made a comment that the film celebrities are often threatened to attend protests and functions organised by the politicians. Where was Kamal when Ajith made such a statement? For whom has he become a mouthpiece? If he proves the allegations we will answer him. 

Minister Raju: It is not so surprising to see Stalin encouraging someone for criticising us. Kamal should not talk like a third-grade person. 

O Panneerselvam: Ministers should reply to Kamal's allegations in a democratic manner and should not use their power and position to threaten him. 

Former minister K P Munusamy: The ministers should give a proper reply to the allegations made by Kamal and not comment against him. If they continue to do this, it is they who would lose their respect at the end. 

MDMK, General Secretary Vaiko, Viduthalai Chiruthaigal leader Thirumavalavan and CPI state secretary Mutharasan have also showed their support to Kamal Haasan.
