As Novak Djokovic was knocked out of the Australian Open 2017 couple of days ago, Andy Murray now has the golden opportunity to claim his maiden title at the Rod Laver Arena. But it is not going to be cream and cheese for the Briton as there’s one man who might stand in between him and the trophy and that is the Swiss tennis ace – Roger Federer.

Federer’s fall in Wimbledon 2016 and a six-month cooling off period after that shows how the Swiss maestro took time off the game, worked on his fitness  and announced his comeback in this fashion.

Sir Murray might have worked really hard before the start of the new season and will be focussing on maintaining his spot right at the top. But when it comes to Federer, there is always a milieu of magic whenever he hits the court.

The Swiss express has played some exhilarating tennis in the Australian Open 2017. He trounced Tomas Berdych 6-2, 6-4, 6-4 in 90 minutes and cruised into the fourth round of the tournament.

The intent with which Federer has been playing in Australian Open 2017, it is clear he wants to make a statement yet again. He even said at the post-match presentation that there’s no turning back from here.

Murray has to be on the right foot if he has to stop the Fed Express to clinch his maiden Australian Open title.
