It seems like BCCI has decided to complete all the financial process before India’s tour to Lanka. After announcing the list of salary for the cricket team for the month of June, yesterday, BCCI has also confirmed the pay for Ravi Shastri.

Here’s the salary that Kumble has got for the month of April

The Committee of Administrators (CoA) took help from the four-member panel that included Board President C K Khanna and CEO Rahul Johri, who decided the remuneration for Shastri and also for support staff.

The panel announced it on Tuesday that Shastri will be getting close to Rs 8 crore per annum which is more than Kumble who had signed the agreement for Rs 6.25 crores per annum.

Going to Shastri’s way, BCCI also announced the bowling coach for India as Bharath Arun. As a fielding coach, R. Shridhar was retained for the team. Sanjay Bangar was named the assistant coach. The three coaches who are added to Shastri’s company will be given Rs 2.3 crores per annum.

However, Zaheer Khan who was named as bowling coach will be consulted only for specific overseas tours. Rahul Dravid’s role as appointed batting coach is still unclear.

Speaking to PTI about Dravid and Zaheer’s role, Shastri said, “All depends on their availability, it depends on individuals, the number of days they want to give but their inputs will be invaluable, and they are most welcome.”
