Moeen Ali held at Birmingham airport
All-rounder Moeen Ali has lashed out at Birmingham airport authorities after he was detained for 40 minutes on his return from England’s runner-up showing at the World Twenty20, in India.
The Birmingham-born, Pakistan-origin player took to Twitter to rant and found tongue-in-cheek support from his England teammate, Owais Shah.
UK Border Force agents said the cricketer was held up because he had “exceeded his duty free allowance”.
