Portuguese football sensation Cristiano Ronaldo is deemed one of the great modern-day footballers, alongside Argentine superstar Lionel Messi. Having won five Ballon d'Or titles, Ronaldo continues to vie for more consistent and prolific performances in each passing season.

Currently, Ronaldo is playing for Italian champion Juventus. While he has won four domestic titles, besides being the highest goal-scorer of the season, he has failed to steer the side to European glory. Consequently, it seems to have taken a toll on his market value.

Since last year, he was valued at $132.00 million by Transfer Markt. However, since the past few months, his value has taken a harsh toll following a string of poor performances, while being knocked out of the UEFA Champions League pre-quarters has severely dented his value.

According to an analysis by PassionInter, it is French winger Kylian Mbappe, who is valued the best in the world, of €185 million, as he currently plays for French champion Paris Saint-Germain. Next to him is Harry Kane (Tottenham Hotspur) and Raheem Sterling (Manchester City), jointly valued at €125 million.

As for Ronaldo, his current value has reportedly dipped to $66 million by Transfer Markt, which is not even in the top-two, five or ten in the world. Even in Serie A, he has been surpassed by Inter Milan's Romelu Lukaku, who is currently valued at €104.6 million, 13th globally and the best in Serie-A.

Lukaku is followed by Matthijs De Ligt (Juventus) with €88.5 million. On third and fourth are Inter's Lautaro Martinez (€83.9 million) and Achraf Hakimi (€70.2 million), while Ronaldo is at fifth.
