Here is the master plan that Sachin gave for the obese youth

Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar has given a master plan for the young people who are concerned about obesity. He asked youngsters to take up sports to stay fit and healthy.

Expressing his concern over the high prevalence of obesity in the country, Sachin said, "It is important for people to stay healthy and there is no better way than taking up some sporting activity."

He was at the event in Chennai for unveiling the jersey of “Chennai Thalaivas” which will be making its debut in Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) this season.

According to PTI report, Sachin added, "By 2020 India is set to be the youngest nation by population. But in obesity, we are number three. A young and unhealthy population is a perfect recipe for disaster. What India needs is more participation in sporting activities,"

Speaking of Pro Kabaddi League, Tendulkar said, "I am here to support not only kabaddi but sports in general."

Speaking about his love for the sport he said, "At some stage in our life we all would have played Kabaddi. When I went to watch a match some time ago, the kind of energy I felt was incredible. I have since loved the game."

On a lighter note, when ‘The God’ of world cricket was asked about his dream team in Kabbadi, he replied, "Certainly MS Dhoni as a defender and Breathless-fame Shankar Mahadevan as the raider."

Kamal Haasan who is the brand ambassador of Tamil Thalaivas was also present during the event.

"I am delighted to see a cricket legend (Tendulkar) throw his weight behind kabaddi and get involved with a team," Haasan said.

Other co-owners of Tamil Thalaivas, Allu Aravind, Allu Arjun and Ram Charan, also took part in the event. They all thanked Tendulkar and Haasan for backing a traditional sport like Kabaddi.

The team and coach for Thaliavas were unveiled during the function.
