On the NBA’s official radio show, former Boston Celtics player and current announcer Brian Scalabrine suggested a Kevin Durant to Celtics trade. As compensation for the superstar, who is signed to a maximum contract for four more years, Scalabrine suggested trading 25-year-old all-star Jaylen Brown, Daniel Theis, and multiple first-round picks. According to Scalabrine, there isn’t a better offer than a package centred around Jaylen Brown and multiple first-round choices.

In his recent interview on the NBA’s official radio show, Scalabrine said, “There’s no better package than the Boston Celtics. Jaylen Brown, three picks, two rights to swap, and Daniel Theis, the money works. You’re getting an All-Star calibre player, and you’re getting picks moving forward.”

The former Celtics player also talked about Durant’s connections with various important Celtics players and staff members. “And, you have to understand. There is a connection - the Al Horford connection with Kevin Durant. He loves Marcus Smart as a player and the Hamptons visit and all that stuff,” added Scalabrine.

“Ime Udoka, he coached him, and he’s always chatting up with Udoka on the sidelines during the games. You get a chance to play with Jayson Tatum, a guy he’s played on the Olympic team with, where they worked out together. So, there is a connection. It is not crazy to think that could happen,” Scalabrine concluded.

Despite being under contract for four more seasons, Durant’s future with the Nets has looked increasingly uncertain after his star-team mate and friend Kyrie Irving’s negotiations with the Nets reportedly stalled due to disagreements. Irving could become a free agent this off-season.
